ZappaFrenzy is all about the 45s

We love those 45s, and ZappaFrenzy’s mission is to document all singles and EP releases by Frank Zappa — from the early Pal Studio years to The Mothers of Invention and the many bands and artists he collaborated with.
We aim to dig as deep as possible, documenting runout information, identifying pressing plants, determining the correct factory sleeves, and other details of great importance.
ZappaFrenzy focuses on the physical media, the production, and the history of these fine items. If you want to learn more about unique single mixes, recording sessions, and musical production, I recommend visiting Crossfire Publications and getting a copy of Ancient Armaments by Greg Russo, which covers these topics in great detail.
All the singles featured on ZappaFrenzy are either from my own collection or provided by contributors. No images are “stolen” from the internet.
ZappaFrenzy documents official releases only. You won’t find bootlegs or counterfeits here — only the “real ponchos”.
ZappaFrenzy does not currently cover CD singles, cassingles, acetates, related labels, or related artists. The old site has been archived for those interested in these areas — you can visit it here.
Who is ZappaFrenzy?
ZappaFrenzy was created by Bjørn Olav Herheim in 2010.
What makes this site special is the contribution from collectors all over the world. A handful of dedicated collectors have shared information and helped build an extensive database. This collaboration has led to the discovery of many items that had never been documented anywhere else.
